In January we traveled to Las Vegas
for Jo’s parents’ 60th wedding
anniversary. In June we drove
around Lake Superior. In July we
made our annual trip to Iowa for
RAGBRAI—the (Des Moines)
Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride
Across Iowa). This year was a
southern route with enough hills to
give me many 40+ mph downhill
rides on my recumbent trike.

Jo continues as after school librarian
at Medford High School with
occasional stints as substitute teacher
of any grades they need her for. She
was disappointed this fall not to be
chosen as the new librarian at the
Ogema Public Library but was happy
that the choice that was made
allowed a new family to move into
our area. Jo enjoys quilting with the
ladies at Ogema and going to ladies’
events at both churches and singing
in the choirs..

When she’s not out and about, expect to find Jo
somewhere in the parsonage reading, though she had a
vegetable garden on our land that produced lots of squash
and tomatoes into December (thanks to bringing the plants
inside in September). Jo had a bit of a scare in the early
fall when her heart went into atrial flutter. After a couple
days in the hospital and a procedure to shock her heart
back into normal rhythm, she went home with a CPAP
breathing machine for sleep apnea. So far that has done
the trick and Jo’s been feeling a lot better.
May God bless you this Advent/Christmas season and
grant you a joyous new year. May God bless us all as we
worship and serve the Savior of all.
